What is the procedure followed for mold remediation?

How much does mold removal cost?

The cost of mold removal may vary according to the size of the affected area and the severity of the condition. Our experts will visit, inspect, evaluate and provide you with an estimated quote.

Can I clean molds by myself?

It is not advisable to try cleaning the mold on your own. You must take help from trained specialists to do so. However, you may try to find the water source that has initiated the problem and turn it off or remove it. Make sure to not disturb the mold in the process. You may also turn off the HVAC system until professionals arrive.

What is the reason behind mold spread?

Molds are caused due to water damage and flood situations. High moisture content facilitates its growth. They spread by releasing spores in the air that can be disturbed through fans, HVAC systems or people who come in contact with them. It is therefore suggested to not disturb the mold.

Can I stay around during mold remediation?

The severity of the situation will decide that. To limit cross contamination and prevent spread, the area around the mold is isolated. The timeframe may also vary depending upon the severity of the problem. You must be cautious around any mold as long term health hazards are also associated with mold-spreading.

Will painting over the mold remove it?

No,painting is not the solution to your problem. The mold will again be visible to the naked eye. Painting the surface will not eliminate the source and won’t stop it from growing back. Infact, some molds like to feed onto paints which may aid them in stimulating their spores and spread more.

Does the property owner’s insurance cover the damage done by molds?

You may have to review your insurance policy to check if your policy provides the benefit. Some insurance companies cover the mold damage while others don’t.
